This year marks our 19th Annual Live & Silent Auction. It's our biggest event of the year and the only fundraiser for our non-profit school, which helps to raise funds for our Scholarship Fund, Professional Development opportunities for our staff, and special school improvements. We welcome current parents, alumni, extended family and friends to attend one of the most exciting and community-building events of the year!
The theme of this year's Auction is The CP Roundup. So dust off your boots & hats, and come ready for a festive, fun time! You can visit our Chuck Wagon for hors d'oeuvres; the Saloon for beer, wine, & spirits; or the Wanted Wall (a photo booth for "wanted "posters, selfies & fun memory-making). We'll also have a live-band, raffle prizes, & much more. Dressing up in your favorite western-garb is optional (from the classic John Wayne-style to futuristic West World), anything goes!
At our Silent Auction, donated items are bid on "silently" by attendees. "Silent bidding" is done so by placing your name and dollar-value bid on a bid sheet for a particular item. The items are out for display all throughout the school and include items like, "Date Nite!" (dinner for two & one night hotel stay at 2 beautiful venues downtown), "Time Off!" (a drop-off, themed party for children, hosted by 2 CP teachers), "Weekend Activities!" (a package of free admission tickets to local theme parks & cultural centers), & the option to bid on your family's space to attend the highly coveted, "CP Campout" event, etc.
Attendees will walk through the rooms, writing their dollar-value bids on items that interest them. If someone out-bids you, you can Up Your Bid, by placing a new dollar value on the bid sheet. The Silent portion of the Auction continues for about an hour and a half, at which point the person with the highest bid will win the item! We will be sure to announce when different items will be closing, so that you can be sure you're the highest bidder - aka - the winner! Our Auction also includes a Live portion during which attendees can publicly bid on high-value donations like CP artwork, a weekend getaway to a special destination, or the chance to have a special CP teacher come read bedtime stories to your child at home!
About our Auction
This year marks Crescent Park’s 19th year as a leading non‐profit early childhood education program for the Silicon Valley community. Crescent Park has played a valuable part in the Palo Alto preschool community by providing high-quality preschool experiences for children ages two through five for more than 500 peninsula families over the past 19 years. All funds generated from the event will go to meet the growing demands of our innovative school, primarily to our Scholarship Program and Professional Development fund.
